Treat services like catalogue items
Haircuts, beard trims, facials, styling and other services can use the same basic structure as products: service name, category, selling price, tax and active status.
Keep checkout fast
The operator should be able to tap one or more services, adjust quantities if needed, select the payment method and complete the bill. Requiring customer data for every transaction adds friction unless CRM is a deliberate business need.
Use categories that match how staff think
Simple groups such as Hair, Grooming, Skin, Nails and Massage make the catalogue easier to scan. The goal is to make the common service visible with minimal searching.
Track daily sales without unnecessary complexity
Revenue, number of bills, average bill value, top services and payment mix are enough for many small salons to understand the day. More advanced analytics can come later.
Export the records you own
Regular Excel or CSV exports give the business a durable record and make it easier to work with accountants or do analysis outside the billing app.
Try the workflow yourself
Bill It Bharat includes a no-login live demo so you can create a bill, switch pricing modes and try QR ordering before signing in.
